3. MINUTES, Action: M/S/C by Challis Mac Pherson

4. NOMINATION OF OFFICERS AND CONFIRMATION OF REPRESENTATIVES – Nominations were opened for Officers and representatives by the chair. Action: C. MacPherson moved to close the nominations for Officers and Representatives, the motion received a seconded, and motion carried. Challis Mac Pherson moved to approve the slate of officers by acclamation; the motion received a seconded and the motion carried.

Action: C. Mac Pherson moved to approve the slate of Lead Liaisons and Area Representatives. Steve Twining was added to the slate, the motion received a seconded and the motion carried, subsequently Manny Aldana was removed.

5. OFFICERS’ REPORTS
Chair Garcia referred the membership to the letter she wrote on Nick Patsaouras’s Rate Payers Advocate motion made on September 9th.

6. ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED:
DWP’s Compliance with the MOU as the primary issue
Notification to Neighborhood Councils on DWP and NC Significant Issues
Required Timely Notifications so as to allow Neighborhood Councils Input before decisions are made by the DWP Board of Commissioners.

7. OPEN COMMENTS OR ANNOUNCEMENTS – Come to the Congress of Neighborhoods on October 11, 2008 at City Hall, 7:30 AM Breakfast and 8:30 AM Session begin.
